New York's Own Clothing Line
One day, while waiting for her train, actress Lynne Lambert found herself staring up at the subway signs with their big colored circles, numbers and letters and thought, “Why hasn’t anyone ever done anything with these cool NYC symbols? I think people would wear these!” And the NYC Subway Line was born.
Under exclusive license from New York’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority, the tee shirts, accessories and other apparel have become part of the popular culture, worn by people as diverse as Bill Clinton and the rapper “Fabolous.” They’ve been in movies including “Prime,” “You Got Served,” “Little Manhattan,” “Take the Lead,” and 2008’s "Synecdoche New York.” Click on Celebs & Press Tab above for photos!
NYCSL products have also been featured in: “WWD - Women's Wear Daily,” “In Style,” “YM,” “Cosmo Girl,” “New York Magazine” and many other publications; in music videos; and on MTV, VH1, MUN2 and BET, among others seen around the U.S. and around the world!
